Select Program
OVERVIEW
Our Select Program is the most competitive program we offer. This is for players looking to make a bigger commitment to soccer. Select soccer is for the serious soccer player wanting to improve their tactical and technical skills, their game IQ, and those interested in exploring soccer at the collegiate level and beyond. At CMH we believe it's never too early to pursue these goals.
The Select Program is open to girls and boys ages 11-18 (12U-19U). Players do not need extensive soccer knowledge or advanced skills to play select soccer but training in this program is rigorous. CMH sets high standards for our select program and we never lower the bar. We provide the training and support to help all players reach the same elite level of play. This program is designed to advance a players soccer knowledge by building further on their technical training and tactical knowledge.
The 13U-19U boys participate in the Classic program and the 13U-19U girls participate in the Athena program of the Georgia Youth Soccer Association. The 12U boys/girls will participate in the pre-gpl program of the Georgia Youth Soccer Association.
This program is coached by certified coaches with advanced soccer knowledge.

UNIFORMS are a separate cost of $150 and is due by June 1st for summer/fall season and March 1st for Spring season to ensure their arrival before games begin. A new uniform is not required every season.

Players will be grouped into appropriate teams. We will allow playing up an age group where it will benefit a player but will not allow it where it would be detrimental to the player's growth and development. Playing up is made on a case by case basis.

All practices will be communicated through CMH approved app.

Teams will practice 3-4 days a week and will play friendlies against other clubs during the summer. Teams will play schedules during the fall and spring depending on ages. Scrimmage schedules will be set as early into the season as possible. League schedules will be set by GA Soccer and CMH will have no control over the dates, times or places we are required to play.

All scrimmage games will be scheduled by CMH Staff and players/parents should expect to be available on both Saturdays and Sundays for games though CMH will do our best to focus our friendly play on Saturday as often as we can. GA Soccer will schedules games on both Saturday and Sunday and we must abide by their schedule and be available on both days. Tournaments encompass two days and players must commit to both days.

Summer/Fall season will run from May-December. Spring season will run February - May. All age groups will not have both a spring and summer.

Each season players will attend a minimum of 3-4 tournaments depending on age group.
PLAYER / PARENT EXPECTATIONS

Training is not mandatory but regular attendance at practice and participation in games is expected. Players will not grow and develop without commitment.

PLAYING TIME IS NOT GUARANTEED. In our select program, you earn your starting and roster spot. The amt of time you spend playing on the field is also earned. This is an elite program and we train and play like one.

Players and parents are required to maintain positive attitudes about CMH teammates, opposing players, and coaches. CMH has a strict policy against negativity and we believe in maintaining positive attitudes both on and off the field. Any comments directed to a referee by a parent or player can result in a player being dismissed from a CMH program.
