CMH Soccer

CMH Soccer is a new soccer club in Southeast Georgia founded in 2024.

We are an IRS 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to create a safe, fun, and supportive environment in which youth can develop a love for soccer and become successful players of the game.

CMH Soccer came out of a love for soccer and strong desire to help others in the community find the same love. We hope to help players develop technical skills, learn the importance of community involvement, and develop strong leadership skills. We also aim to assist players looking to take their soccer careers further than the high school level.

CMH is a small club with its home in a small community. We encourage players to participate with their local clubs and support the community they live in. We also encourage players who already have a home club to continue playing with them. While we hope to grow, we, at CMH Soccer support other area clubs and want to see them succeed as well.

If you have no club home please visit our programs page to see if you find a program that's right for you. If you have a club home already and are interested in learning more about CMH Soccer, send us a message to discuss our club but be aware we have a strict policy on taking players who already have a club home.

More Info & FAQ

Our Goal:

We want players to enjoy playing, learning about soccer, and developing soccer skills so they want to come back. Wins and loses are valued but are not the only important aspects of soccer. CMH Soccer believes soccer is about having fun, building friendships, learning about good sportsmanship, growing athletically and allowing players to develop confidence in themselves and their teammates.

Our Philosophy:

CMH Soccer is player oriented. The more our players play games, the better they will become individually. CMH encourages our coaches and parents to give the game to the players and let them play. CMH supports Positive Coaching and believes our Coaches, Board, and Volunteers can have a lifelong impact on our players and help players be successful in soccer but also in life.  CMH wants to win and we believe in competition but we are committed to using soccer to teach players positive character traits that will help them as they grow from young athletes to adults in our community.

Where does CMH play?

CMH is a member of US Club Soccer as of Spring 2024 and will play league games all across the state of Georgia. Our practice sessions take place in Toombs & Montgomery County. Along with league games, CMH will attend tournaments in Georgia and the 5 surrounding states.

How and when are teams formed?

CMH will hold tryouts for all of our teams. CMH Staff will evaluate players and put them on the team that best suits their skill level. There will never be a time in which a player is put on a team more than 1 year above their actual age unless their skills match the team.  We believe that mixing teams causes undo adversity when playing age appropriate teams.

Tryouts will be held in May of every years.  2024 Dates & Times are  as follows:

U6/U8/U12 teams  - tryouts will be held in September of every year

U14 teams  - tryouts will be held in July of every year

U16/U19 teams - tryouts will be held in May of every year

Specific tryout locations will be emailed directly to parents/players after registration has been completed.

How can tryout fees & registration fees be paid?

CMH Soccer club can accept the following methods of payment:

  • Venmo (@cmhsoccer)

  • CashApp ($CMHSoccerClub)

  • Paypal (info@cmhsoccer.com)

  • Most major credit cards through "Tap-To-Pay" with IPhone

  • Cash & Check

How many games and practices will players have?

Our U6/U8/U10/U12 teams will practice 1-2 times a week and will attend various festivals throughout their season. Festivals will be more local and travel will be limited to areas less than 2 hours way.  Tournaments are an option if available in a teams age group

Our U14 team (s) will practice 2 times a week , attend league games throughout their season, and attend 1 tournament a seasonal year. Travel will be more extensive but every attempt will be made to keep tournaments limited to a 2 hour travel time. League games will be assigned by US Club Soccer and CMH has no control over where those games will be played.

Our U16-U19 teams will practice 3 times a week (except during the spring while high school soccer is ongoing) and will attend league games and 3-4 tournaments per year throughout GA and the five contiguous states. The number of tournaments is subject to change.

When does the season begin?

US Club Soccer goes from July 1 - June 30 of each year.

All of our teams will have tryouts in May but will begin practicing at various times. Summer practices are NOT mandatory  but players are encouraged to attend as often as they can.

Our U6/U8/U10/U12 teams will have tryouts in May and will begin practices throughout the 12 months just as our older teams do. However, we will take a break from the season to allow all of our players to participate in their local recreation department's program if they wish and will return to practice at the culmination of those programs. No practices will be available during this time to allow for CMH Soccer and it's staff to volunteer with the recreation departments in the town in which they reside.

Our U14 team (s) will official begin with a one (1) week camp in August followed by the regular season training that all players are expected to attend.

Our U16/U19 teams will  a  two (2) week camp in July followed by the regular season training that all players are expected to attend.

Do players and parents have to sign contracts?

CMH Soccer does not believe in having our players sign contracts when you commit to one of our teams. Player and parent expectations will be provided but we believe if a player no longer feels as though our club is a good fit, a family should find the club that suits them, their player, their soccer needs and expectations.

We strongly encourage every player to find a soccer home that's best for them though we do hope it's with us!

What if my player misses practice?

Players are making a commitment , not just to CMH Soccer, but also to their fellow teammates and our parents  are making a commitment to the other CMH families. Attending practice, games, and tournaments is a sign of respect for  your fellow teammates, coaches, and the other CMH families.

CMH Soccer and its' staff believes in teaching players about commitment, dedication, good sportsmanship and teamwork which are essential skills to success, not only as a soccer player, but also throughout life.

Not attending training regularly will directly impact a player's ability to:

  • make the league and tournament roster

  • get off the bench and onto the pitch

  • be offered a roster spot in subsequent years.

We believe it's more important to fail as a team than to play on the field as individuals. We will not sacrifice rules and expectations just to have 11 untrained and ill-prepared bodies on the field.
